10.05.10 - ChromePlay Redesign and Facebook Liking
Over the past few days I've been making some major design changes to
ChromePlay.com,to give it a lighter look that feels more up to date. The new design uses a few CSS3 properties so it's best viewed in a modern browser like
Google Chrome.
Also new is the Facebook Like button on games. This feels similar to Facebook Connect that bombed when I added it a couple of years ago, but the Like button functionality seems refreshingly simple and non-obtrusive. So whether anyone uses it or not, I think it's worth trying.
08.12.09 - ChromePlay Redesign and Google Chrome Extension
Today saw the launch of
Google Chrome Extensions, which currently only available for the PC version of
Chrome Beta. Amongst the extensions is one of my own - the
ChromePlay Chrome Extension (catchy title?). This lets you see the latest four
ChromePlay.com games right from your browser, updated live. More features to come!
Also in
ChromePlay.com news, this week I launched a site redesign. Originally intended as a minor update, it ended up as a fairly major overhaul, with a much brighter and less cluttered look. I think it's quite a big improvement, but feedback and suggestions will be welcomed, and that goes for the Chrome extension too.
01.09.09 - ChromePlay High Score API
I've spent the past few weeks making a number of updated to the
ChromePlay High Score API, now with added AJAX for increased reliability and stability. Users can also now post scores directly to their Facebook accounts via the
ChromePlay App (new versions of games required, which have all been updated on
ChromePlay).
Most excitingly is that the API is now
available for public use. Still in beta at the moment, I intend on adding more customization options in the future. Feedback is very welcome!
18.08.09 - ChromePlay Updated
With the attention that
Chromium created,
ChromePlay has been seeing a huge increase in traffic this month. I've launched the first updates since the redesign two weeks ago:
-Now that a few people have signed up for accounts, I've added a Forgot Password option just in case.
-User accounts can be linked to the
Facebook Application so you can share Favorites between the two.
-Guest comments are back, so you don't need an account to post one.
